Churches are springing up all over the place, and the catholic church is becoming very competitive. This season they have apparently changed the ingredients in the eucharist: it is now called "I cant believe it's not Jesus."

Just looked at the physioroom site and the team with the most injuries is Birmingham with 9. Great start for Utd.  Roll Eyes

I think it's more who's injured than how many, some teams have a lot of peripheral players out and some have one or two key players

I can't wait for the agony to start again, waiting on torture is worse than being tortured

I read on football365 that Wenger has said that he wont be buying any more players before the season starts - Pru whats your take on that - is your squad able for the challenge??

This has been a really wierd close season - no team has really made statement of intent with a big signing (except Man City but im choosing to ignore them for now) , its either been consolidation, like Chelsea, or adjusting to life after the departures of big names (Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal) - I can't wait to see how it all pans out:)

I don't think we're nearly ready but Wenger refuses to pay more than a player is worth and you have to respect him for that, even if it is frustrating for us Gooners
I think the so called "big 4" will become a "big 6" which has to be good for the league, the more competative the better
I hope ManCity (who I have always liked) fall flat on their faces

It's gonna be a loooong season for us Arsenal fans

There will definitely be more competition for the Champions League spots, that's for sure.  It'll be very interesting to see if City can swipe the spot from Arsenal (sorry Pru, but they are chomping at the bit for it!).  There's still a wide gap between the clubs with the big bucks and the rest, you'll find some of the most fierce competition will be outside of the top half of the table, for those clubs fighting tooth and nail to stay in the middle or away from the drop.

Interesting times ahead!

I read this morning that

Since the summer of 2004, Arsenal's net transfer spending puts them around £25m in credit, while Manchester United have a deficit of £64.5m, Liverpool £83.8m and Chelsea £106m.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/a/arsenal/8192417.stm

So there you go, top four bye bye could be due to having to build the new stadium ect - arsenal are all about the long term, I need to work on my patience

Ugh, state of it...

Has anyone else noticed the amount of teams in the Premiership that are sponsored by online betting set-ups?  Seems like they are the only companies making money these days!

Yeah, it's awful. I hate alcohol and gambling ads on the jerseys. Our contract with Carlsberg is up soon and they have shown a sign that they may not be renewing it even though the company made a profit last year.
