I agree Steve. If you make me queen of absolutely everything, I will immediately introduce the 3 day weekend and endow every one with a right to receive delivery of pizza, chocolate or beer 24 hours a day. Some arrangements will be made for those working in the delivery industry with respect to the 3 day weekend.

What is with couples?

My best mate moved in with his boyf a coupla yeard ago and now he NEVER goes out at the weekend. Now, another close friend of mine has moved in with his fella and hey presto getting to go out with him is like seeking an audience with the Pope.

Hehe, and I thought I was over-reacting when I felt like this but I've seen flashes of this lately too. Almost everyone... no, actually, everyone I know is in a reationship now and on the last couple of occasions when I've been back in Ireland, I haven't been able to meet up with some friends because they are having 'together' time. My bitter, hardened inner cynic struggles not to vomit bile. Most in couples have the balance right though.

Don't get me wrong, I have a bf myself and I know how cool it is to spend alone time. SimilarlyI know folks who do nothing **except** party and that's not good either. But there is a middle line, is there not?

All hail the middle line and the rare, rare people who get it right.

However I also think there's something in people watching couples waiting for them to get self-involved. Someone might be hard to convince out of a weekend and that's just them, but once there's a significant other involved, oooooooooh, well then we know whose fault it is don't we!!
