Come one, come all!

Thursday 11th February  - Literary Evening - 7.00pm - 9.00pm
With Jamie O'Neill (author of At Swim, Two Boys), Denis Kehoe (author of Nights Beneath the Nation) and Jarlath Gregory (author of G.A.A.Y. Snapshots). A lively discussion of gay fiction plus readings from the authors.

Thursday 18th February - Irish Gay History: A Talk - 7.00pm - 9.00pm
Join Brian Lacey (author of Terrible Queer Creatures: A History of Homosexuality in Ireland) and very special guest Senator David Norris as they discuss times gone by and thier role in activating change.

Thursday 25th February - Movie Night @ Tallaght Library - Milk - 7.00pm
Linking in with our regular monthly Movie Night is a screening of Gus Van Sant's Oscar winning film Milk, starring Sean Penn as the legendary gay rights activist Harvey Milk.

Also, from the 3rd - 27th February, there will be an exhibition, curated by writer and historian, Tonie Walsh, featuring items from the Irish Queer Archive.

Booking for the Literary Evening and the talk on Irish Gay History is essential.  Please Telephone 01-4620073 to secure a place. All are welcome to attend the movie night.

The library is conviently located next to the terminus of the LUAS stop, for any of you unsure as to where the library is. More details are available on our website: www.southdublinlibraries.ie including directions to the llibrary, how to get there via bus/luas and details to our other events

The exhibition, A Liberating Party, curated by Tonie Walsh using material from the Irish Queer Archive, which is now held at the National Library of Ireland, is up and running at the County Library, Tallaght and available for viewing during our opening hours.

This Thursday is the Literary Evening, from 7 - 9pm , featuring Jamie O'Neill, Denis Kehoe and Jarlath Gregory. All are welcome to attend!

Went to see the exhibition, bit dissappointed with the scope but it was still interesting.  I did discover tallaght library though, which is an amazing place! Joined immeadiately Cheesy
