Haggis, Pizza and a Touch of Guinness!

Hello Spuddies

I have recently been asked to do up a complete project plan for work. I don't want to go down the Microsoft Project tools route, and have covered most areas, but now really require a Gantt chart.

I have tried doing it through Excel using bar charts, but it just doesn't seem to work. I may be too stupid!

So, does anyone know of any nice open source project management tools, or have specific Gantt chart resources that may be useful?

Many thanks in advance!

I tend to run things through a carefully arranged series of post-its. Any good?

I have loads of post its. I also have flow charts, and A3 diagrams. Now, i just need a decent PC program to present it to management. By the end of the week. Basically, i'm screwed. Have to stick with crummy bar charts Sad

I tried a lot of Open source project tools in final year in college, but they kinda sucked.

Then I found a way to do gant charts in excel/Openoffice that looked kinda decent.

You may have tried it, but it did work for me.

The key to successful project managment is to resist everything  but especially any form of change. I'll ask around for you Smiley

But we missed the point the whole way along. It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing, or to dance, while the music was being played.
